We're just a little under two months away from National Prevention Week 2014, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMHSA) annual drug-awareness event for teens. The week begins May 18, and preparations are beginning all over America.
According to SAMHSA, the week is scheduled for early summer each year because that's the time when most teens are first introduced to alcohol and drugs. Events are being planned all around the country as part of Prevention Week. You can find out more about National Prevention Week on SAMHSA's website.

A Florida event is already scheduled for May 22 by the LiveFree! Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition in St. Petersburg.
